Looking for a gown that will make you look and feel like a modern-day Cinderella?  Then you need to consider wearing an ALYCE Paris stunning and exquisite hand-crafted gown.

ALYCE Paris gowns have been worn by women across the globe for over 50 years.  The designer of ALYCE Paris dresses is Alice Marie-Thérèse Hamm, who started designing dresses in Paris at the young age of 12.  Alice began by hand-making elegant dresses for the local ladies out of her mother’s draperies and tailoring shirts for her town’s farmers.  Alyce’s gowns have come a long way since that time in the 1940s.  Her dresses and costumes are often described as trend-setting by American standards and have been worn by beauty queens, mayors' wives, and Olympic athletes for over 50 years.

At the age of 25, Alyce moved from Paris to Chicago where she immediately found a job as a designer for a local bridal house, Carol Gowns.  At that time, she changed the spelling of her name to “Alyce” (pronounced “AH-lease”).  After working at Carol Gowns, Alyce was employed by Blum & Leibach, a Chicago-based party and wedding dress manufacturer.  In 1967, Alyce bought Blum & Leibach and renamed the business Alyce Designs.

ALYCE Paris was born.  Alyce’s one-of-a-kind designs, fierce confidence and incredible talent, catapulted her designs across continents and made women look stunning on a global level.  In fact, Alyce Designs became one of the first U.S.-based companies to produce silk dresses in China.

A short year after opening her own fashion house, Alyce was dressing Miss America, Debra Dene Barnes.  That was only the beginning of Alyce’s pageant success.  She later dressed Miss Illinois 1969, Judith Ford, who went on to win Miss America. She also outfitted Amanda Jones for her 1973 Miss USA title and Miss France 1989, Peggy Zlotkowski.  She loved working with fabrics that highlight a woman's femininity, especially chiffon, organza, tulle and Venetian lace.

Celebrities love ALYCE Paris designs.  Alyce has a worldwide reputation as a celebrated designer with her handcrafted designs.  Just recently, on March 12, 2018, Haley Reinart wore design #4375 on stage in Paris on the PMJ Tour.  (Pictured on stage below.)

From 1967 to 1981, Alyce focused on designing pageant and bridal gowns.  In 1981, she expanded her talents to include hand beaded prom gowns.  Alyce’s talents and block patterns gave rise to a worldwide industry built around prom.  Today, ALYCE Paris is a major influence to modern formal wear across the globe.

Even after 50 years of designing exquisite hand-made gowns, ALYCE Paris gowns are still crafted using many of the same finishing techniques that Alyce developed during her early working years. Many of her gowns can be found in the same bridal shops who were Alyce’s first customers in the late 1960s.
